Mother Puts Her Son With Down Syndrome Into A Washing Machine

21 year old Courney Stewart has developed quite the following online for all the wrong reasons. She posted a picture of when she put her 2 year old son with down syndrome inside a closed washing machine.
A young mum who photographed her son in a washing machine and was filmed throwing him around a bouncy castle like a rag doll is being hunted by police.

Courtney Stewart was outed by the Daily Record in July over her treatment of two-and-a-half-year-old Caleb, who suffers from Down’s syndrome.

Last night officers were on the hunt for the 21-year-old after she failed to appear in court yesterday on a breach of the peace charge, the Record reported .

Stewart, of Erskine, Renfrewshire, had been due to appear at Paisley’s Justice of the Peace court for a pre-trial hearing over claims she behaved in a threatening or abusive manner in Ladyacres, Inchinnan, Renfrewshire, on December 12 last year.

At a court hearing on July 8 she pleaded not guilty to the charge.

After the Record revealed Stewart’s rough treatment of her special needs son she went on national TV to apologise for her antics.

Speaking on ITV’s This Morning, she told hosts Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Longsford her “biggest mistake” was posting the photo on Facebook.

During her interview she said: “Every day I make mistakes as a mother, every day, everybody does, and I learn from these mistakes every day.”
