In Udaipur located in Rajasthan, India, local animal rescue organization, Animal Aid Unlimited, was notified via phone by some railroad workers who reported that a dog had been hit by a train. The poor pooch lost 3 legs in this ordeal, which were badly crushed – thankfully, he was still alive.
Veterinarians quickly worked to save the dog’s life. Unfortunately, one leg had to be amputated. However, the dog’s 2 other injured legs were only partially amputated. The dog, now renamed Deepak, took at least 6 months to recover. He now happily resides in a special shelter named Handicap Heaven, were he’ll be well taken care of!
